Year in Industry (YinI)
The aims of this scheme are to
attract high calibre, well motivated, creative young
people into industry and to select students to gain
pre-university experience of industry. It operates
in England, Scotland and Wales.
The Year in Industry (YinI) is
now firmly established as a very successful and
prestigious scheme which provides students with top
quality work placements in industry, prior to
entering university, together with comprehensive
training and personal development programme. The
scheme, which runs from September to July typically
places 750 students in 300 companies each year.
