The hard work of Kerry Scargill at Byron Primary
School was rewarded at the annual Teaching
Awards, when she scooped the South East England
Development Agency award for enterprise. Miss
Scargill, 54, of Hempstead, was nominated for
the award by a former student, who she taught
three years previously at the school in
Gillingham.
