Manufacturing engineering is
all about finding the best ways to change raw
materials into manufactured products/goods. This
involves taking a product design and finding out the
best way to produce it safely and efficiently.
Manufacturing is also concerned with the design,
testing and maintenance of complex machinery and
production systems. The utilisation of new
technology, such as robotics and computer-aided
design (CAD) is particularly important to the
manufacturing process.
