• If included two are required. You will also need to state the type of referee i.e. Academic, Work or Personal

• An academic referee is someone from school, college or university

• A work referee is either from a current or previous employer

• A personal referee should be someone who knows you well and can comment on your character - but not a relative!

• Always remember to ask your referees permission beforehand and include their occupation or job title

• You can also give your referees a copy of your application so that they are aware of the specific requirements for the job
